A young woman explores a strange, distorted reality where nothing is certain-not even existence itself. Told through the eyes of a younger and older sibling, Affliction is a deeply psychological affair that brings viewers on a journey to the experimental side of horror.
About the Director
The Film
Gus R. Yeager is a young, aspiring, queer filmmaker who specializes in dark horror and drama. He loves reaching people with his work and hopes to make others question what is real-or at least what the heck they just saw.
Director Statement: Having had experience battling against mental demons, I am all too familiar with the haunting, empty way the world can feel. I wanted to experiment with the “texture” of film as a medium with which to tell a story of a distorted reality, and the struggle of answering questions you don’t know quite how to ask.
